Its investment objective is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing in companies that are focused on improving human health through cutting edge scientific innovation. IBT’s Investment Manager invests in highly innovative companies with strong growth potential from the development and/or commercialisation of either a biotechnology drug candidate, medical device or other enabling technology for medical research.

 

These companies can range from small private companies with strong science and people that need development funding, to large, multi-billion dollar biotechnology & medical device companies which have portfolios of products, many of which are already used in hospitals, clinics and pharmacies around the world.

 

IBT’s Investment Manager seeks to generate positive absolute returns from investing in the most exciting and highest quality assets and management teams, enabling the trust’s investors to participate in the value created when medical research delivers truly innovative new products and technologies that have the potential to transform medical practice.
